Academy of Science

We took a field trip the other day to here and we had a great time! We checked stuff out, we played by the fountain, we had lunch in the amphitheater, I got pooped on the head by a bird, we forgot where we parked the car, and Soph napped in the car on the way home! On top of all of that while we were walking out to have lunch, it rained! We love rain, so it was so nastalgic to eat lunch outside with the most wonderful people that I love and have it rain all at the same time. Even getting pooped on didn't dampen the mood!

I love that we homeschool and that we get to have opportunities like this. I am also very thankful that we live in a place that allows freedom to parents to chose the best course of education for their children.

Oh Prom!

I was fortunate enough to be included in my niece's prom by helping her get ready and it was so cute to see her all grown up. She's even going away to college next year! It also brought back a ton of memories of when John and I went together, over a decade ago!

They look so cute together. This is her next door neighbor that has lived there since they were both younger than K. She told me her whole ensemble only cost $30.00. Cheaper than the tickets!! Smart girl!

Magnus lost his Tooth!

You could hardly tell because his teeth are all so little and very spaced out, but it's there. Or not there! He was so excited!
We've been using coupons for buying lots of things, so the kids are always talking about coupons so I thought it might be awesome to put that in his letter. Even Soph can say "coupon"!

This is what he wrote back to the Tooth Fairy. What a polite boy! He signs his name as Mags because it's shorter. That's what he does on all his schoolwork papers. The mischievious of a Mags!

Soph's dress

My first, all my creations dress. It's still tricky for me to cut and sew the arm hole, but perhaps with more practice I might make it the right size. It's either too big or too small. Sewing it is another problem altogether. At least it' s wearable in public. The fabric is a thrift store sheet.
