Ahhh the blessings of being a Mom

Every night when we put Magnus to bed we start by me (usually because his dad is at work in the evenings) praying first and then him, if he felt like it. Sometimes he just rambles about being thankful for lights, pictures, toys and the likes of that. It seems like another stall tactic, but then every so often he will say something so heartfelt that it melts my heart. Such as tonight he prayed that he was thankful that he had a mom, a dad, and a sister. So nice. It's moments like these that gives you affirmation that you must be doing something right as a parent. I am so proud of him and love him very much!

Church photo

We celebrated our 2 year anniversary of the inception of our church today. We had lots(I mean lots) of food.

What a beautiful day!

We went on bike ride today and here are the pics that details our ride.
Magnus happy as can be. He loves biking with us, especially with his "afterburner" that connects to his dad's bike. He loves to pedal fast so they can pass me. Something easy to accomplish since I have to haul myself, Sopheary and our gear (snacks and water, not real gear like the pros).
When I look at these photos, it makes me feel so bless that he is our child. Although outside of these moments you just want to punch him in the face.

Sopheary usually falls asleep during our rides. She will tip over to the side like this and suck on her thumb. It is so cute. At the end of the ride when we take off her helmut, she's got a hot and sweaty head. It's adorable, makes it seem like she did a lot of work out there.

Today though, she woke up half way and was wailing her head off. She usually doesn't cry like that. We stopped, took her out, and this is what she looked like for a while.

But then Dad can always make her laugh!

Sopheary can stand/pull herself up

I am so excited that she can do this, but yet nervous about all the things that comes with it. She started today in the morning by going over to our tub and pulled herself up to grab her bath duckie. Her dad told me about it and I blew it off. Oh, it just happened once no big deal. Probably a fluke thing...then later we were at my mom's house and she stood up again. I was on the couch and she crawled over to me, looked up, smiled, and then grabbed onto the couch and pulled herself up. She stood there for quite some time until she lost her balance and then fell over backwards. Lots of crying....then after a while she crawled to one of those toy things that you play with while you stand up(it's got music, lights and all kinds of fancy stuff on it) and pulled herself up again!! That is 3 times today. I am so proud of her! I wish I had taken our camera with me to my mom's, but I didn't because I didn't want to carry too many things! (I say that a lot. Maybe I'll learn my lesson this time)????

Magnus tee ball games

He stood like this for the first half of the game. Not doing anything, not going after the ball. It's like he was shell shocked into this thing called baseball.
Then when it was his turn to bat, he trotting around to the bases instead of running. I guess he must have been unsure of what to do.

This is him bored at the outfield. Had to scratch the itching back or kill time...

Then this is his second game. He is actually going after the ball! Yeah Magnus!!!!

Look at him running at a much faster speed than a trot. I think he is thoroughly enjoying t ball. We do have to keep an eye out for those that are more apt to mess around and mess with him. Overall it has just been that one episode so hopefully there will be nothing more. It's good to see your kid happy.

Feeling a little better

I haven't posted in the last few days because I wasn't feeling well. I had anxiety about Magnus schooling and then I came down with a clogged milk duct(I think). Schooling is coming to an end as far as deciding where and what we are going to be doing(more on that later). The milk ducts are finally not causing so much pain. Yeah! So I will post on what we did on Easter and all that fun stuff in a little bit. For now I gotta go make lunch...ahhh the life of a mom!

Pj's for Magnus

Magnus proudly showing off his new pj botttoms I made for him. I'm glad he likes and I like it!

I made these for Magnus because he is running out of Pj bottoms. He seems to be growing taller since most of his bottoms are getting shorter. I made this out of my own pattern. I will post the how to another day. For now I think
I did a pretty good job on this one!
